Learning More: Resources and Search Strategies

The Vampire Library aims to lead you to some great resources, but if this has only spurred your curiosity more, you may want to explore and research more on your own. If you're not sure where to start, here are some suggestions.

Databases

Many libraries offer access to different databases with the use of a library card. Check with your library to see what databases they have available. As an example, INSPIRE is a collection of databases provided by the Indiana State Library

The Student Research center would be a great place to look for more historical information or other research. Perform a basic search by putting a keyword in the search bar and clicking "search." You can also limit your search to certain resource types or dates.

Encyclopedias

Encyclopedias are available in print or online and can be a great place to search for more information. One of the most well known Encyclopedias is Britannica Online. Another great option is the Worldbook Encyclopedia

You can also check your local public or school library for hard copies of encyclopedias.
